AP Explores
A photograph from one of Abhyudaya's travels

Welcome to AP Explores!

I'm Abhyudaya — an engineer by profession, a traveler by instinct. Over the years I've been to 20 countries and much of India — 19 states and 3 union territories so far, with more still to go — almost always choosing the road less taken over the postcard version of a place. This site is where that shows up: the stories, the photos, the routes I'd actually suggest.

Having lived this deep in travel, I've also started building for it — sometimes that means personally helping someone plan a trip or join one, sometimes it means building the tools (like the maps and trip-intake system on this site) that make travel like this possible for more people. If either is useful to you, I'd like to hear from you.

Where I've Been

From the Himalayas to the high streets of Europe, here's a running map of the corners of the world I've had the chance to explore. Click a highlighted country to read the story — or check back later, since more get added as I write them up.

Exploring India, State by State

As an Indian, working my way through my own country's states and union territories matters just as much to me as chasing passport stamps abroad — 19 states and 3 union territories so far, with more still to go. Here's how far I've gotten so far.
